Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Hipshot version, and what you were doing when the issue happened. A screenshot can help, but please leave out anything private.
Getting started
Choose Classic, Digital, or Mechanical on first launch. Allow camera access, then tap the shutter to take a photo. Hipshot saves captures directly to Photos after you allow photo-library access.
Waist-level shooting
On iPhone Duo, fold the device halfway with the camera half upright. Look down at the flat half to frame your photo. Hipshot also works as a regular camera when the phone is closed or fully open, and on other supported iPhones.
Make the camera yours
Open Settings to choose your style, file format, and framing guides. Settings → Layouts lets you choose shutter positions and arrange the tabletop panel.
RAW and square photos
RAW availability depends on your camera. Square framing crops HEIF or JPEG photos; RAW files keep the full sensor frame. Some cameras restrict RAW to their optical lens positions.
Requirements
Hipshot requires iOS 27 or later. Waist-level shooting requires iPhone Duo.
